Looking for an advice from our users.
Dappros Platform is now receiving lots of what looks like fake automated user registrations at our sign-up page.
They were all following same pattern (for example dumping some fake firstname + lastname into two different inputs etc) so we have added logic to filter them out. After a few weeks whoever is doing this have adapted their scripts and they are back at it again.
Dappros Platform will need to protect agains these fake registrations in order to keep our database clean only with real users and also so that we avoid our system being used in any spam related activities.
We would like to reduce friction for our users as much as possible so you can easily set up your account, get access to tokens, blockchain explorer etc features straight away, and we have designed the system that way in the first place, but unfortunately our easy registration process gets abused currently.
I wanted therefore to ask opinions of our users – what do you think will be the best way to deal with this in a way that allows us to keep the on-boarding easy for you and your end users (where they need to use web forms vs mobile app way).
Options we have in mind:
- Add reCaptcha.
- Forced e-mail confirmation (users have to confirm their e-mail address before their account is added to the system)
- The two above combined.
Please send your feedback via our Contact page or in the comments section here.
We appreciate your time and we thank all the customers who use Dappros Platform in a diligent manner!
